Gerry Frenette is a versatile entertainer and internationally acclaimed leader in illusion design.
Equally at home with comedy, sleight of hand magic or grand illusions, he will dazzle you with
fabulous new creations, spontaneous humour, and a friendly style. He is one of the few
illusionists in Canada who performed at Hollywood's famous Magic Castle, where he showcased
original inventions with his partner Leonora several times. Gerry has also been a sought-after
lecturer and performer at many top magicians' conventions.
The couple worked as Headline Entertainers for luxury CRUISE LINES such as Princess and
Holland America, and completed two extensive World Tours visiting over 35 countries, 6 continents
and 11 seas. They also made shorter appearances at international and ONTARIO RESORTS.
Gerry brought magic to many CORPORATE EVENTS for clients like Honda, Chrysler, M&M Meat
Shops, Walmart Canada, TD Bank, Laurentian Bank, Bayer, Re/Max, Bell Canada and more.
FUND RAISING events benefited from his show -- the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Addiction Research
Foundation, Help for Humanity, Canadian Diabetes Association, & more. They have entertained the
public in THEATRICAL VENUES like Mississauga's Living Arts Centre, Meadowvale Theatre,
and Hamilton Place.
Gerry loves to share his passion and knowledge with the younger generation, and taught magic
at a Montessori School, in Sorcerers' Summer Safari, and to under-privileged kids at an inner
city Toronto school program. Gerry and Leonora assisted DAVID COPPERFIELD with his
PROJECT MAGIC, which trained two hundred special care workers in how to enable kids with
impaired motor skills and learning disabilities, to help them regain function and self esteem.
Gerry's other accomplishments include making a Chrysler Magic Van disappear on live
national Television; opening the Gemini Awards live across the continent with a
dangerous escape (performed by Dean Gunnarson) of an exploding box; being one of
the presenters of the awards for best music videos on Much Music, co-hosting the Mississauga
Arts Awards, along with other TV appearances as guest performer on several shows and on
TV commercials. The couple staged a magical play "Caribbean Cruise" in a Mississauaga
Dinner Theatre which ran for several weeks to sold out audiences.
Gerry and Leonora's inventions have appeared not only on North American Television, (e.g.
CBC's Magic Of Canada; and ABC's America's Got Talent), but on international TV shows
in Europe, South America and Japan in the hands of other professional entertainers. These
exciting original illusions opened doors for them to get there creations on TV shows like Arabs
Got Talent, France's Got Talent, and Le Plus Grande Cabaret du Monde.
